We were delighted to be your first guests - and the upstairs is perfect space for 2 couples. It is great to be able to walk right across and have good snorkeling at Smith's Reef - had an assortment of weather in Jan - but many pretty days. Hope to be back soon,

We have traveled to a different Caribbean destination every winter since 1986. We liked this place well enough that we're planning to return in 2007.

What a wonderful first stay in Turks and Caicos and Provo! Limbo Cottage is just beautiful - perfectly decorated and outfitted. Henry, your suggestion of private parents space downstairs was a winner. We look forward to returning!

The beaches are beautiful, the sunsets amazing, the accommodations very comfortable. Yacht was blown off course and onto the reef yesterday but high tide took care of the mess. (Tropical depression hit and added a few inches of water to the pool; whitecaps on the canal, palms bent in half and the gardener hiding under the patio...) Ask for Gianni at Magnolias, John at Bacci. Spa Sanay for pampering. Tiki Hut makes good drinks. Hemingway's for a great lunch. Cigars and dessert (plus a good thin crust pizza) at Bacci. Visit the Turtle Trail and Chalk Sound for amazing location. But... where's our hammock? Be back in 25 minutes...

A wonderful week had by all. Clearly what the doctor ordered for the family. Limbo delivered in all aspects - accommodations, location, views, beach access, etc. As I write I hear my 2 year old in the background saying to no one in particular - pool, water, boat, airplane and limbo. Family got into a daily routine that will keep memories lasting for some time - breakfast on the deck; surf/sun/fun on Grace Bay beach; afternoon lounging at the Limbo pool; sunsets exploring the island; capped off by cocktails at Limbo. This island has qualities that make you understand why families call it their winter break 'home.' It is the Nantucket of the 70s and 80s. We shall return.

Our group from Nashville braved the 'so-called' hurricane season. Weather was a little hot but perfect for beach going. We enjoyed all the amenities Limbo had to offer. Will admit our group was somewhat rowdy our first night - dark when we arrived and did not realize the proximity of our neighbors - our apologies we do extend! Our faves: Da Conch Shack f/k/a Bugaloos best seafood. Club Sodax - late night eats. Hemmingway's lunch was fantastic and the desserts there were divine! Coral Gardens beach was easiest access to snorkeling. Charlie will let you rent an umbrella - well worth the $20.00. For the adventurous - drive to Malcolms beach. Don't be afraid of the rocky drive. We had to get directions to Smith's Reef (just off our beach) 200 yds left in front of white house. Future guests we wish you a wonderful stay as we've had. Cheers.

Smith couple honeymoon.
Our honeymoon could be described two ways - disastrous or perfection. We choose perfection. It was cloudy and rainy, slight lightning when we arrived. That doesn't bother us Midwesterners one bit! We enjoyed the all night thunderstorm Sun. night. Mon was cloudy and cool. Perfect to wander the beach w/o overheating. Another all night thunderstorm Mon. night - after having the best steak in forever at Danny Buoys. That is saying something. We're from the KC area! Danny Buoys also has big screen for MNF for NFL fans.
Tuesday night we ventured out for a bit and were caught in a huge flood!! Thank God for Scooter Bob's Isuzu Amigo rental. Turtle Cove was a mess. We were almost washed out nearly 4 or 5 times on Leeward and were anxiously hoping to make it home to Limbo, when we passed Tiki Hut (very good place) to see a crowd of cars attempting to get by our turn. We sat and waited for a few minutes for traffic to clear (meanwhile torrential rain continued to pour on us all) when a red F150 passed us. We watched him go around the stalled cars and thought it might have to be done ourselves. Then, two vehicles came our way (splashing huge wave on us). My new brave husband decided to go for it. The water was nearly up to the car windows as we inched thru the crowd. Our turn at Yacht Club sign was a huge pool of water. But, the mighty Isuzu Amigo trouped right on through. I was shaking with fear! But, we made it home to Limbo where there was a dry house, but no power! Oh well! We worried about the islanders not as lucky as us while it poured and stormed all night long. Huge strikes of lightening and fierce thunderclaps dotted the night clear up to sunrise.
Wed. the island was still in shock from the amount of rain. The roads still had huge puddles, disrupting traffic. Power didn't come back on till 3 or 4 pm. We decided to try Tiki Hut and they did well but their pizza oven was on the blink. No worries, the ribs and chicken were fabulous. We lost power again Wed. night around 12 am. Oh well, off to bed.
Thursday morning was fabulous. The power was back on around 6 am. The sun finally came out. We swam for a bit and went for a drive down the lower Bight. We had just ducked into a souvenir shop when we were told power would again be off for island repairs. Reportedly from 1 pm to 6 pm. We retreated to the pool at Limbo. We were lucky to have that, and the gas grill. And the very sealed fridge/freezer.
Hemmingway's was not happy that power was still not back on when we arrived just after 7 pm. They had fish n chips - or chicken n chips. We chose both. By the time we got back here to Limbo, 8pm, power was returned. So...
Today is Friday and it's our last day. It is the only day we have had power and sunshine. We have had a fabulous time. The clouds kept it cool. The storms made for excellent sleeping weather. Who needs power when the breeze comes thru here or you can cool off w/ a beautiful pool.
The only thing I would add is a battery operated weather radio. We weren't entirely sure of the storm's strength, but we had a phone so I called a DJ at Life Communications Network radio to fill us in.
The seclusion is fabulous and the house divine, I'm off to nap. Ta-ta. Thanks again!!

One way to judge a place is by how much you hate to leave it - do so hate to go. A week passes slowly here, but much too quickly. Reef diving (an easy beach stroll) was spectacular! Two sea turtles, a ray, beautiful fish 20 yards off shore at Smith's reef and in front of the "green wall" (200 yds east of beach access). No need to look elsewhere.
The home was wonderful: comfortable, close to everything, great views, fantastic pool. We all hope to come back soon.

P.S. Be kind to Ms. Kerry and Mr. Bush on the beach.

A week in Provo with our bestest of friends, beautiful weather and this beautiful home. How much happiness can one stand? We loved staying here, the snorkeling was the best on our beach and hanging out with our friends Mr. Bush and Ms. Kerry and the puppy. Thank you.

Our 4th time on the island, our 1st at Limbo. Weather was good 82 to 86 degrees. Although we did have a strong wind out of the east for several days. Went to our old haunts, Hemmingways, Hey Jose's. Went to Bonnie's one night - very good food. Don't miss sunset on the deck at Magnolia's overlooking turtle Cove. Loved the house and the view! A short walk to great swimming and snorkeling! Already, looking forward to next year!

A great escape! Best beach in the Caribbean! Great snorkeling in front of Bel Sur Mer - don't be surprised if you see some large stingrays. Calm waters, excellent visibility for seeing so many spectacular fish! Limbo cottage was very adequate - great view from the front door - we had great sunny weather with a warm breeze every day! I will recommend this to other friends. Thanks for renting to us. With gratitude,

We loved our stay at Limbo Cottage, our first visit to Turks and Caicos. The house was beautifully decorated and had pretty much everything we needed. We enjoyed dinners out on the porch with the cool breeze. We learned close to the end of our stay that just a short walk down the beach is Smith's Reef, an unbelievable snorkeling site! The pool outside our door was such a treat as was the beach just down the path. The weather was incredible - during our 2 week stay, just a 1/2 day of rain! We'll return to the island next year.

G. Family Adventure. Our first visit to Turks and Caicos... pure bliss! Perfect weather, perfect house, perfect crystal blue ocean... couldn't have been more... perfect!
Explored the island top to bottom... up near Northwest Point to the sand pits found a beautiful isolated beach where we swam and sunned. Over to Turtle Tail and Long Bay Hills Beach... lots of conch shells and clear water. Drove up to Amanyara Resort up north (got lost and found the dump!). Amanyara is an amazing resort... lifestyles of the rich and famous... just gorgeous! Lots of yummy food... loved Coyaba. Had a great day adventuring with 'Catch the Wave'... out to Parrot Cay, N. Caicos, snorkeling, fishing, cookout at Ft. George with freshly caught fish... snorkeling for shells and sand dollars... then off to see the iguana... a GREAT day!
We love the house and hope to come back again and again. There is nothing that compares to the end of the day, sitting on the veranda w/ the cool breeze blowing, sipping a little rum drink while looking at the beautiful azure sea!
Thank you for an amazing vacation! (Do we have to go back to reality... Limbo's so much better!)
